Please read our Terms and Conditions carefully, as they outline the standards and expectations for every project we undertake.
 

1. Quotes and Acceptance
• All quotes are valid for 28 days from the issue date.
• Accepting a quote (by email, text, or deposit) confirms agreement to these Terms and Conditions.
• Any changes or additional work requested after acceptance will be quoted and agreed to separately before we proceed.
 

2. Scope of Work
• The quotation clearly outlines the areas, colours, and finishes to be completed.
• Hidden issues such as mould, rust, or water damage that are discovered once work begins may require additional repairs at an agreed cost.
• Standard surface preparation includes sanding and minor filling unless otherwise specified.
 

3. Materials and Products
• We use only premium paints and materials, primarily Dulux products.
• We follow strict quality standards and offer a workmanship guarantee where applicable.
• Colour selections and paint types must be confirmed by the client before work begins.
 

4. Access and Site Conditions
• Clients must ensure clear access to the property, including electricity, lighting, and water.
• Any delays caused by restricted access, unsafe conditions, or site unavailability may incur additional charges.
• For high-rise or rope-access work, appropriate anchor points or safety measures must be provided prior to commencement.
 

5. Workmanship and Quality
• All work is completed to Australian Standards (AS/NZS 2311:2017) and carried out in a professional manner.
• We take great care to protect your property, furnishings, and surfaces not being painted.
• Clients are encouraged to inspect the finished work within 5 business days and advise us of any concerns promptly.
 

6. Payments
• Payment terms (unless otherwise stated):
– Deposit: 20–30% due upon quote acceptance.
– Progress payments: As outlined for larger jobs.
– Final payment: Due immediately upon completion.
• Late payments may attract a 2% monthly fee.
• All materials remain the property of Learey Painting & Decorating until full payment is received.
 

7. Cancellations and Rescheduling
• Cancellations made within 7 days of the scheduled start date may incur a fee to cover material or scheduling costs.
• Weather-related delays will be managed and rescheduled at the earliest suitable time for both parties.
 

8. Health, Safety & Environment
• We strictly adhere to Work Health and Safety (WHS) standards.
• Paint waste and materials are disposed of responsibly in accordance with environmental guidelines.
 

9. Workmanship Guarantee
• Our workmanship is guaranteed.
• This does not cover normal wear and tear, structural issues, moisture damage, or neglect.
 

10. Liability
• Learey Painting & Decorating maintains Public Liability Insurance.
• Our liability is limited to rectifying any proven defective work and does not extend to indirect or consequential loss.
 

11. Use of Photos
• We may take before-and-after photos of completed projects for our portfolio or marketing, unless you request otherwise in writing before work begins.
 

12. Governing Law
• These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
